Structure
WPIF is a not for profit membership organisation. Governance is provided by a Managing Board comprised of representatives from the full members. The Managing Board appoints from within its membership a chairman. The Federations' Director General is appointed by and reports directly to the Managing Board.
In common with most associations WPIF operates a committee structure through which topical issues are passed through in order to convey information and to receive feedback and direction from the membership. The two principle committees operated by WPIF are a technical and Environmental committee but from time to time either committee may establish working or task groups in order to further their interests in specific topics/issues. As well as being made up of representatives from member companies the principle committees can also include representatives from outside of the membership e.g. from research institutes, universities or consultants.
